Being a linux lover, I have been using Ubuntu since 2008 and am pretty happy with everything that I can do as a developer locally. I have changed couple of laptops since then and found no issues so far. But sometimes it happens that you encounter some intermittent issues or unexpected issues.
Recently I have been trying VS code as my IDE for JavaScript and PHP projects and loving it too. But Last week when I had to format my laptop and reinstalled Elementary OS, I happen to install couple of software using snap. So this time I used snap to install VS code as well. But while working with some Laravel and VueJS projects (did not feel with others though), I found VS code case the whole system freeze in several minutes for couple of seconds.
Then just to try, I just uninstalled VS code from snap and reinstalled it. But this time, I used downloaded .deb package to install VS code, then the freezing issue gone away ! It has been a day that I have not felt the freezing issue.
Hope this will help someone facing the issue
